Carbon & meat

The amount of carbon frozen – inert – in the tundra round the north pole is 4.6 times more than all the carbon man has released since James Watt invented the steam engine in Scotland in 1765. That tundra is beginning to melt due to us. If it all melts we are headed for species extinction – including our own, see ‘Sleeping Giant in the Arctic’ on U TUBE. We must stop the burning and cut back on our livestock – each equally responsible for the current temperature rise in our world. > fish & vegetables. Together we can still avert this.

Statement of concern

The Great Australian Bight is home to a unique and extraordinary array of marine life. Whales, sea lions, birds, turtles, fish and sponge gardens all depend on its pristine waters. Double glazing to trap the sun’s warmth in winter, and reduce heat gain or loss. Thermal mass to store the heat from the sun in winter, and “coolth” in summer Insulation to reduce unwanted heat loss or heat gain Ventilation Orientation – the most important aspect of a new build If the house is due north and the eaves are right the sun doesn’t come into the house in summer except on the east and west sides Sun’s movement across the sky in winter As the sun is lower,...

World population is forecast to grow

This is a concern:  World population is forecast to grow to 10 billion in 2050 fresh water will need to be found for an extra 3 billion people in only 34 years time That’s more than all the people in India & China today. We’ve done it before… What are the odds that in 1911 you would have said that a combined army from Japan & Germany would be beaten in 1945? Or in 1935 who would have said that Neil Armstrong would walk on the moon and be flown safely home in 1969 34 years is 34 years We can do it we can be making & distributing fresh water every day  around the world from the sea using just renewables by...
